Enterprise Analytics Internship - Summer 2025

Job Profile:

The Enterprise Analytics team is charged with leveraging existing data resources to provide timely, accurate, and actionable insights to business leaders across the organization
Interns will work on a variety of data analysis and visualization projects covering all facets of the healthcare delivery industry
Interns will be involved in the entire lifecycle of project delivery and will have the opportunity to work with business leaders to define the problems and communicate the outcomes
Projects will revolve around exploratory data analysis, data visualization, and advanced analytics

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's (senior) degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or other closely related quantitative field
Minimum GPA of 3.4
Highly proficient in the use of Tableau for data visualization
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience in using some advanced analytical tools (SQL/R/Python) is preferred
Passionate about using data to inform decision making and possess the curiosity to research and solve complex problems involving data and business analytics

Job Profile:

Learn the fundamental of underwriting and its interactions with other departments including, but not limited to, Premium Audit and Loss Control
Understand the applications of analytics methodologies to real-world insurance problems
Gain exposure to various BI tools including but not limited to, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft PowerBI
Prepare data through gathering and cleaning techniques from our data warehouse and/or external sources
Create and/or update existing Power BI Reports as requested by business and/or leadership
Develop ad-hoc reports as needed

Qualifications:

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, or Data Science (ideal candidate will have completed junior year at the start of the internship)
Strong computer skills are a necessity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills
Strong analytical skills

Uncover and communicate insights from company data that will inform decision-making on open and pressing business questions
Apply rigorous research approaches to frame analyses impacting key areas of the business, create high-quality analytic code to assemble evidence, and communicate clear and actionable recommendations to leadership based on research

Enrolled in or will receive a Bachelor's/Master's in a quantitative discipline with an expected graduation date between winter 2025 - summer 2026
Knowledge of statistical research methods
Experience using SQL for acquiring and transforming data
Experience programming for data analysis and visualization (Python preferred)
Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Domo)

Job Profile:

Provide administrative support so that efficient and cost-effective utilization of hospital resources are met
Opportunities to gain corporate experience by being involved in information technology projects, staff meetings, and corporate events
Training on the appropriate tools, languages, and documentation required
Exposure to a number of advanced technologies, such as ERP systems, Epic, Office 365, ServiceNow, and networking in a multi-platform environment
Work under direct supervision of the IS Business Operations team in support of team initiatives

Qualifications:

Must be currently attending a college, university, or graduated within the past year
Minimum GPA of 2.5
Demonstrate excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills
Be able to effectively work in a virtual environment if selected for a hybrid position (80% remote, 20% onsite)
Support the integration of information security in the development, design, and implementation of Hospital Technology Resources that process, transmit, or store CHOP information

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or post-secondary program
Minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.8/Major GPA of 3.0
A track record of outstanding academic performance
Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
