Women in Sports Data Symposium 2024 - Event

Event is from 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM 

Details:

  • Day of conversation featuring women working in sports analytics across the technical spectrum

  • Ticket includes panels, technical talks, workshops from the biggest hitters in pro sports, continental breakfast and coffee station, luncheon, and after party happy hour

  • In addition to the symposium, the Women in Sports Data Initiative hosts a virtual project-based hackathon and the finalist presentations will be occurring at this event

Data Analytics Development Program Analyst/Associate - Full Time Role

Job Profile:

  • Participates as an analyst/associate in the line of business development program.

  • Performs or assists the core activities of the group by applying knowledge learned to drive business results (e.g. deal, sales, or process support, internal or external customer interaction, or supporting internal projects).  Works under supervision and may have limited approval and/or exception authority.

  • Participates in social learning within the organization (e.g. identifies and networks with business representatives and peers, participates in mentoring, job shadowing and community outreach).

  • Participates in formal learning (e.g. classroom, web-based, or virtual) and completes related activities and projects.

  • Supports the internal and external customer experience by providing excellent service at all times; takes accountability and ensures problem resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred STEM or business relevant majors (e.g. Analytics, Data Science, Math, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business). Other majors can be considered with a strong proven interest in analytics.

  • Minimum GPA 3.2.

  • Experience in data analysis, preferably using SQL, Python, R, and/or Tableau.

  • Roles at this level are filled by recent university / college graduates with little or no professional experience, but possessing relevant skills. Includes individuals joining the organization through a corporate development/training program.

Financial Crimes Unit Data & Analytics Tech Intern - Full Time Internship Summer 2025

Basic Qualifications:​

  • Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 0 year(s)

Preferred Qualifications:​

Demonstrates some knowledge and/or a proven record of success within the following areas:

  • Consulting in the financial crimes space and working in a regulatory environment;

  • Utilizing AML systems (including data mapping and profiling, and system tuning and optimization), and leading sanctions and RPA systems, and implementation of these systems; and,

  • Using one or more of the following: of SQL, SAS, R, Python, Ruby, QlikView, Tibco Spotfire, and Tableau.

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success within the following areas:

  • Writing and delivering proposals to prospective clients, including leveraging PC applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project and other related firm-issued tools;

  • Demonstrating aptitude for conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses of large and complex data, as it relates to the project requirements in the financial crimes space; and,

  • Supporting practice management for a specific operation or process in a consultative environment.

Planning and Allocation Analyst Intern -

Summer 2025

Program:

  • A 10-week summer program where you will obtain learnings and skills through leadership development seminars, classroom-style training in areas like retail math and Microsoft Excel, a visit to market in NYC, tours of our stores and distribution centers, peer-to-peer social activities, and community service projects.

  • Hands-on experience with our shadowing days where you will obtain exposure to the key parts of business operations and industry leaders, to understand the off-price retail world.

  • Direct mentorship from a current Allocation Analyst or Location Planning Analyst who will be your “buddy” for support and guidance throughout the program experience.

  • A hybrid model that mirrors our full-time associates and is 2-3 days in-office and 2-3 days remote per week. This schedule can be subject to change. (Relocation benefits are available for those who are eligible).

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Merchandising, Marketing, Business).

  • Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree between December 2025 and August 2026.

  • Affinity for retail merchandising, planning, or allocations.

  • Ability to manage, analyze, and interpret data/data reports to make strategic allocation recommendations.

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Enterprise Analytics Intern

 

Education Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Master's or Bachelor's (senior) degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or other closely related quantitative field with a GPA of at least 3.4


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly proficient in the use of Tableau version 2018.x or 2019.x for data visualization

  • ​Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)

  • Experience in using some advanced analytical tools (SQL/R/Python) is preferred

  • Passionate about using data to inform decision making and possess the curiosity to research and solve complex problems involving data and business analytics

  • A quick learner who is willing to learn and work in a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities:

  • Support current outreach methods and research projects on low-income program participation

  • Leverage data to make impactful decisions within PGW low-income programs and grants

  • Assist customer affairs team in regulatory low-income customer reporting and transmittals

  • Work internally to maintain data updates in tracking files

  • Contribute ideas and propose solutions to improving current outreach and program effectiveness
